T-BALL

Pre-K & Kindergarten (5-6 yrs old) 

*MUST be 5 on or BEFORE May 1st of the year of play. 

The season will begin in June following the completion of the school year and will run approximately 6 weeks.

Practices and games will be held at the various fields located in the Sauk Rapids and Rice communities.

Practices are held for about the first 20-30 minutes before the start of their game.

Games are played between other teams from SRYBA and will be played Mondays and Wednesdays, and are 60 minutes long.

Each team bats through their batting order each inning.

There are no games the week of July 4th.

Rain outs can be made up if head coaches agree to do so.

SRYBA will provide a t-shirt jersey and a baseball hat.

There will be team bats & baseballs provided. However, you are more than welcome to purchase your player their own bat. 

Your player will be required to provide a baseball glove and helmet. 

Recommended items, but NOT required: baseball pants, cleats & batting gloves.

Head Coaches and assistant coaches are parent volunteers. They get a t-shirt and ball cap. After the Head Coaches are determined, teams are selected by the Tee Ball Coordinator. Once teams are selected, different colored tee shirts are ordered based on teams, with player sizes taken from registration information. 

Coaches are in high demand. Coaches will be on the same team as their players. In order to get t-shirts before the 1st games, coaches are needed so teams can be then selected. If we do not have enough coaches, then teams could be bigger than 12 per team.

Players can play a maximum of 2 years at this level.

Rosters will be available mid-May.

Players must play with their grade or by their age as of May 1st of the season year.

Parent information night is announced on the SRYBA website and Facebook page, usually in March.
