Gopher State Baseball League
Gopher State is a traveling baseball league that falls under Minnesota Youth Athletic Services (MYAS).
SRYBA Gopher State Teams are formed after Fall Evaluations each year for 10u-14u players. After evaluations, if your player qualifies for a Gopher State Team, you will be contacted by the SRYBA Board for Call Backs. This is volunatary, and you can decline if you choose to stay at the CMCBL Level.
SRYBA requires that Players attend school within the ISD47 District or live within the district area.
Ages
10U-14U
When
League play starts mid April and regular season play ends at the end of June. Tournaments may run through the end of July.
Where
Home games are played at one of our listed field locations in Sauk Rapids, dependent on age level.
Away games require travel within District 1 (see below).
Practices
Practices typically begin indoors in March pending gym availability. Outdoor practices are dependent of field conditions and weather.
Games
Game nights vary with several out of town games, with up to 3 weekend tournaments scheduled by the Head Coach of each team, with a 4th weekend if the team qualifies for a State Tournament. These teams require a lot of time and dedication.
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT/GEAR
GSBL players will be provided with a Dri-Fit Undershirt, but will be required to purchase their own jersey. Players will also need to provide white baseball pants, green belt, green socks, cleats and their own helmet.

BAT SPECIFICATIONS
The specifications for bats for the Gopher State teams are as follows:
9-11 years: Max diameter @ thickest point: 2 3/4", Length: Unlimited, Weight differential: Unlimited, Must have USA or USSSA marking
12-13 years: Max diameter: 2 1/4", Length: Unlimited, Weight differential: Unlimited, Must have USA or USSSA marking
Max diameter: 2 1/2", 2 5/8" & 2 3/4", Length: 36" or less, Weight differential: -10, Must have USA or USSSA marking
14 years: Max diameter: 2 3/4", Length: 36" or less, Weight differential -5, Must have USA or USSSA marking
