Player Evaluations

Player evaluations will be used to determine which players comprise the GSBL teams and which players comprise the CMCBL teams.

Players must attend evals to be eligible for Gopher State teams.

Player evaluations/tryouts will also be used to help evenly distribute talent amongst the CMCBL teams to promote a competitive balance.

All eligible players are encouraged to attend tryouts, regardless of skill level or level they wish to play.

Evaluation times are as follows on Saturday, September 12th and Sunday September 13th at Bob Cross Softball Complex (Fields 1–4):

8:30–10:45 AM — Current 7th graders and up *Players cannot turn 17 years old before the May 1st cut-off

11:00 AM–1:15 PM — Current 5th–6th graders

1:30–3:45 PM — Current 3rd–4th graders

If your player would like to continue evaluations and tryout for a roster spot on a Gopher State travel team next season, you will need to be there Sunday September 13th also. This will replace our call backs from previous years.

The schedule for Sunday will be similar:

14U and 13U 8:30 AM to 10:45 AM

12U and 11U 11:00AM to 1:15 PM

10U 1:30PM to 3:45PM

(9U will not have a Gopher State team and won't need to come on Sunday)

Fee: $20 (non-refundable). The fee covers the cost of outside evaluators.
