Player Evaluations

2026 PLAYER EVALS

Player evaluations will be used to determine which players comprise the GSBL teams and which players comprise the CMCBL teams.

Players must attend evals to be eligible for Gopher State teams.

Player evaluations/tryouts will also be used to help evenly distribute talent amongst the CMCBL teams to promote a competitive balance.

All eligible players are encouraged to attend tryouts, regardless of skill level or level they wish to play.

Evaluation times are as follows on Saturday, September 13th at Bob Cross Softball Complex (Fields 1–4):

9:30–11:45 AM — Current 7th graders and up *Players cannot turn 17 years old before the May 1st cut-off

11:45 AM–2:00 PM — Current 5th–6th graders

2:00–4:15 PM — Current 3rd–4th graders

Should there be inclement weather the day of evals, there will be communication about the need to make-up evals on Sunday, September 14th.

Fee: $20 (non-refundable). Discount codes will not be offered during January registration as in years past; the fee covers the cost of outside evaluators.
